ACT YouTube for Students

Looking for an easy way to support students with ACT prep and college/career planning—without adding to your workload? Of course!

The ACT YouTube channel is a simple, ready-to-use resource with short, student-friendly videos. It is not new and is already filled with several excellent resources. My son is a graduating senior and for him the video Shorts were super helpful. (Dad's note: Of all of the work that our son did to prepare to take the ACT each time, it is the ACT Test Day Confidence video that we still talk and laugh about and may well have been the most impactful. Yes, that is the one that stars a dancing gopher).

And just in case you are looking for some ideas for how to use it, you can…

  • Reinforce meetings: Share a video after 1:1 student conversations

  • Add to communication: Drop into newsletters or parent emails

  • Use in groups: Kick off advising sessions or classroom lessons

Why It Works

Short videos help students:

  • Learn at their own pace

  • Revisit key information anytime

  • Engage with content in a format they already use

One more 'dad's note'...There are of course several other social media platforms with excellent content and resources (including ACT's own channels on Instagram, TikTok, etc.).  But for our family, the ACT YouTube Channel on tv from the Roku became the place where we  'thought' about ACT prep 'together' the most.  And it was (and still is) where I watch the ACT My Journey videos. (See 'Drop into newsletters or parent emails' above.)
