A huge thank you to our counselor partners for your valuable suggestions and requests for free ACT practice tests and test prep materials to share with students. Based on your feedback, the ACT Counselor Outreach team has created a new FREE ACT Practice Resources Guide (pdf) to help you access the most useful materials.
For a full-length practice online test that incorporates the upcoming enhancements made to the ACT, you can visit the ACT Online Sample Questions page on the ACT website. A free paper version of the enhanced version of the practice test is coming soon (this Spring) in the updated Preparing for the ACT Test Guide. Additional full length practice tests that reflect the enhanced ACT experience will be available in the new Official ACT Prep Guide and the new Official ACT Self-Paced Course, powered by Kaplan, which are both scheduled to be available by May.
With that said, there has been no significant change in the types of knowledge and skills measured by the ACT test with the enhancements. Current practice tests and available ACT test prep materials are still also great for preparing (even for the enhanced ACT) for the content of the ACT, such as standalone practice passage/question sets or individual bell ringers for teachers in classrooms. Below are resources you can share with your students and families to help them prepare for the ACT. Many are available on the ACT website. Some are listed exclusively here, while others will be added in the future. All are free and available for you to share.
Stay tuned as we will continue to post new ACT practice materials to the ACT Counselor Blog (including virtual events intended for both students and educators). If you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to the ACT Counselor Outreach team at counselor@act.org.
